Kitten Craziness - Catching Up At Last
There was this neighborhood association garage sale thing that sucked up all the time to keep everyone updated about Purrcy and Company. Now we are in catch up mode...
The "big kitties" are being to play with Purrcy more regularly. Honey is prone to giving mixed messages. One minutes she wants to play chase and the next she is lapping and hissing the little guy. Rumba got annoyed yesterday at being prevented from doing something she wanted to do so she decided to slap Purrcy quite hard and repeatedly. All he was doing was napping in a chair. Unfair! Big sisters are mean!!
Lucky has fallen back into her habit of "ohmygoditsisakittenwhowantstoplaywithmytailRUN!!" which of course means that the kitten in question will give chase thereby increasing her sense of panic. Sigh. She never learns.
Bon is presently pissed off at everyone. Although he has been seen touching noses with Purrcy when he thinks I don't see him.
This weekend the basement will cease to be Honey's haven away from it all and be open for kitten exploration. He is now big enough not to get into too many tight spots down there. Funny thing is he has ZERO interest in venturing down the stairs unless I go down with him. You couldn't catch Rumba and Honey when they were that size (and smaller) in their haste to check it out. Hmmm, mayhap girls are more brave than boys... Don't tell Bon.
Second trip to the vet resulted in much meowing and carrying on in the both to and fro. This from the little fluffball who never says anything otherwise. Nothing. He just purrs. Okay there was a very tiny trill sound the other day but that was tuna-induced so it really doesn't count. Kittens will say anything under the influence of tuna. Who wouldn't?
Last night we had "puffy tail" night between Purrcy and Rumba. This is when the cats let their tails puff out and they run like mad through the house, often without paws every touching the floor as the furniture becomes the highway of choice. This continues until one or the other de-puffs. He/she whose tail stays puffed the longest wins. Purrcy won. Of course being ambushed by Honey may have contributed to the extra tail puff time.
