Kitten Craziness Day 11 - Jingle Purrcy

I don't have the cats wear collars being as they are inside babies. However, when they are little they are belled. Considering how kittens get into everything can seem to be everywhere at once and get themselves into all sorts of situations it's best to at least be able to hear them when you otherwise can't find them.

Of course the ding-ding-dinging at 2 a.m. during the Kitty Olympics is annoying.

What you ask are the Kitty Olympics? Games that have been going on since 1986 when Pouncequick and Chaos launched the wee hours romp through the house at break neck speed. Yup in 25 years I haven't had a night of truly uninterrupted sleep or a meal in peace. Not complaining exactly ... except for the meal thing. That's really bothersome. I have always tended to wake up around 2 a.m. for no apparent reason anyway. And now when I do I get a kitty cuddle.

Purrcy is quite upset over the motorcycles and large trucks that roar passed the house. Poor little bug has no idea where to run since when the windows are open the sound seems to be coming from everywhere at once. His first impulse was to run with me but the sound didn't go away so he ran in circles then scooted under the bed. Poor little baby. When startled by very loud noises the bell on his collar as he runs for cover can't help his "jangled" nerves.

So cute though. Once the noise was gone he trots back out and flings himself at my feet purring his heart out. He has started talking a little bit now. Up until today purring was the only noise he made. Today we had chirping, a small trill and an honest to goodness merrrow. That little face with those big blue eyes is impossible to resist. You just have to scoop him up and nuzzle that too-soft to be real fur. When you scoop him up he reaches out to touch your face. The personality in this little fuzz-butt is remarkable. This is a gentle little soul has to be the most gentle kitten ever. Only Chaos came close and as wonderfully laid back and adorable as he was, Purrcy (I hate to admit it) has him beat.
