Kitten Craziness Day 6 - Purrcy Gains His Freedom

Mama took a leap of faith and let Purrcy stay out among the big kitties last night. Being a light sleeper I figured that I'd hear it if anything got ugly. I didn't hear a thing and everyone was calm in the morning. So I took another leap of faith and let him stay out all day today.

Unable to get home over lunch, I asked Mom to check on him at noon and she said that everything was fine. When I got home everything was still fine. Nothing broken, no one hiding, screaming or bleeding. This is huge progress, the first day out in the general population so to speak is typically a day resulting in upheaval. Once again Purrcy's low key personality wins the day. Although he is trying to eat the lap desk at the moment and I'm getting grabbed and nibbled while I'm trying to type. Someone is over stimulated and about to get the old "oh look a chicken" toss of a toy to distract him from eating something he shouldn't. In that aspect at least he is a normal kitten. If trying to eat the tip off of your tail is normal ...

And then the nap attack hits and the boy is out like a light. Kittens are goofy



So it is freedom for the baby (without basement access of course) once again tonight.

Oh come on! The folks out there are saying that we need to stop "picking on" Senator Clinton over not admitting that she lost her bid for the nomination and give her more time to wind things down. I Just Do Not Understand... Maybe I Shouldn't

I may be repeating myself but it bears repeating... We've all seen the news reports. Black persons dying in custody or being shot or injured by police officers. The Black Lives Matter movement ( #BlackLivesMatter ) interrupting political rallies or matching in the streets. The response of All Lives Matter only serving to upset those trying to make a point with Black Lives Matter. I am appalled by what I am seeing, horrified even. But the really unnerving thing is: I really do not understand. I do not understand why after all this time, this nation is still struggling with and denying racial prejudice. Why can't we move beyond this stupid - apparently ingrained - dislike/hatred/fear of anyone who looks/acts/believes differently than "we" do? Fun Business Terms

Recently our local paper had a funny bit on new business terms. Apparently the writer had spent some time online and came across some great new words. Of course he had the time to spend online while at work because he is also the paper's editor. Be that as it may - and it does conjure up some interesting arguments over why the boss gets to surf while at work and the staff doesn't these are pretty darned good.
